Hughesy Heads to Just For Laughs Montreal

Dave Hughes is packing his bags for one of the biggest comedy festivals on the planet, with Hughesy set to hit the stage at this year’s Just For Laughs festival in Montreal.

First, he’s part of the lineup for Brit(ish), a showcase billed as a celebration of “sharp wit, dry humour, and distinctive style” from top UK comedians — extending an invitation to honorary Commonwealth mates too, which is presumably how an Aussie has snuck onto the bill. Hughes will share the stage with the likes of Bridget Christie, Mark Watson, Janine Harouni and Dan Tiernan.

Then it’s onto the Gala, with Dave confirmed for the Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias Gala at the legendary Théâtre Maisonneuve on July 25. The JFL Galas are the festival’s marquee events, mixing global headliners with rising stars in front of packed houses — and this one’s fronted by Iglesias, one of the biggest touring comedians in the world.
