Image is a cartoon of Brett Blake in black t-shirt & jeans on a motorcycle, doing a wheelie with one hand on the steering handle and the other holding a microphone raised above his head. He has an orange beard & moustache and his orange mullet flies in the wind. There is water spurting up from the back wheel with “Ha Ha Ha Ha” written into it. The background is black with faint purple and green speckles through it. In gold letters behind him read “BRETT BLAKE GRIP IT & RIP IT COMEDY TOUR”.

Grip It & Rip It Comedy Tour

Brisbane, Cairns, Hobart & Toowoomba

G’day legends! Get ready for a night of laughs as Brett Blake (Australia’s 2nd wildest comedian with a mullet) hits the road for his regional tour. If you’re keen for a ripper night of laughs, beers, and a good time, then this is the show for you!

Brett’s no stranger to the stage, tearing up venues across the country for years now. You may have seen him on The Melbourne Comedy Festival Galas, caught his YouTube Special “Go Hard or Go Home”, as a guest on The Project, or even acting alongside Dustin Martin in his jocks (yes, even people with sloppy rigs can be underwear models). He’s featured on podcasts like Alpha Blokes, The Little Dum Dum Club, Flat Stick, and Work Hate.

Grab a beer, book a seat, and get ready to piss yourself laughing. No dorks allowed!

In 2002 Brett Blake was charged with inciting a riot, disorderly conduct and assaulting a public officer. Is he guilty? You be the judge.

He was 16 years old and facing a maximum prison sentence of 10 years.

What happened next surprised him, his parents, his lawyers, the neighbours and even the judge.

This is a story of the importance of second chances, the hypocritical expectations we have of young people, and how your number one enemy might just end up being your biggest champion.

Only Brett can manage to make a story of police brutality, learning disabilities, questionable 90’s parenting and growing up in a shit suburb “funny”.

Seen on 2024 Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala, Question Everything, Spicks and Specks and co-host of Work Hates Podcast.

Directed by Tom Ballard.
