Merrick Watts takes Grapes of Mirth around the country
Australian entertainment icon Merrick Watts has combined two of his dearest loves – live comedy and fine wine.
His newest venture, Grapes Of Mirth, brings together the art of sharing a wine, a conversation and a laugh in the beautiful surrounds of wine country and beyond.
As Merrick says, he’s very serious about not taking wine too seriously.
Having previously taken over the likes of S.C.Pannell Wines, Paxton Wines and Seppeltsfield, Merrick has hand-picked lineups featuring Australian comedy cognescenti Dave Hughes, Tom Gleeson, Kitty Flanagan, Anne Edmonds, Lawrence Mooney and Dave Thornton to entertain the masses while they tipple on productions from Australia’s foremost winemakers.
Next up Merrick will take Grapes of Mirth to Nashdale Lane Wines Orange in NSW on Saturday 17 November; Pialligo Estate Canberra in ACT on Sunday 2 December; and Brown Brothers King Valley in Victoria on Sunday 9 December, with lineups featuring the likes of Peter Helliar, Nikki Britton, Becky Lucas, Lehmo, Dilruk Jayasinha, Luke McGregor, Danielle Walker and many more.
