Wil Anderson, John Safran, Rove McManus and Tom Ballard join the inaugural Yack Festival lineup

strong>Some of the biggest names in Australian comedy including Wil Anderson, John Safran, Rove McManus and Tom Ballard have just been announced as part of the inaugural YACK Festival lineup.

Yack will showcase a curated selection of the funniest, smartest and most provocative comedy, podcasts and panels at Giant Dwarf this November.

This announcement sees the addition of Wil Anderson in a special live recording of his popular podcast Wilosophy featuring a guest so special they cannot yet be announced; satirist and best-selling author John Safran chats with writer and producer Sophie Braham about his latest book Depends What You Mean By Extremist; Rove McManus invites the audience to bring ideas for his unplanned, spontaneous and possibly dangerous new show I’ve Got Nothing; Tom Ballard talks to award-winning journalist Stan Grant in a not-to-miss live recording of his podcast Like I’m A Six-Year-Old; Rhys Nicholson and Kyran Wheatley host Sydney’s favourite new material stand-up night Comedyish; The Chaser’s Dom Knight hosting the Festival Of Genuinely Dangerous Ideas; and comedian Justin Hamilton premieres his play Three Dances With John Tilt Animus performed by a surprise A-list cast.

The inaugural festival will also feature Sam Simmons’ Sydney debut of his celebrated show A-K; The Kates (The Katering Show, Get Krack!n) live In Konversation; Peter Helliar’s first show for families; The Chaser discussing their most audacious stunt ever; Zan Rowe and Myf Warhurst’s first ever live edition of their podcast Bang On and encore performances of their hit shows by Dilruk Jayasinha and Damien Power.
