More artists added to the 2018 Yack Festival lineup

Sydney’s little festival for people who can’t shut up is back, and is shaping up to be a banger!

Having previously cemented itself as the cool thing to do, today’s lineup announcement adds to an already impressive list of artists taking over Giant Dwarf.

Sam Simmons will get silly in the Sydney premiere of Radical Women of Latin American Art, 1960-1985; Osher Günsberg will unveil the emotional, raw and hilarious stories from his highly-anticipated memoir Back, After the Break; your pal Alex Lee will host new comedy talk show Old Friend/New Friend; Rove McManus is back to put his improvisation skills to the test again in this spontaneous show I’ve Still Got Nothing; and Zoe Norton Lodge will present Story Club: Solo as she shares true stories from the ridiculous suitcase of her life.

Tom Ballard and friends will read a play that Tom has written; Justin Hamilton will present a special return of his superb play Three Dances with John Tilt Animus, joined on stage by Fran Middleton and Claire Hooper; Richard Glover will launch his new book The Land Before Avocado; The Perennial Inaugural Chaser Lecture will see Nigerian social media star and satirist Adeola Fayehun as this year’s guest lecturer; and Dan Ilic’s popular podcast A Rational Fear will see a panel of comedian smart-arses explore what we really should be scared of in a special live recording.

This uber cool lot join an eclectic line-up offering Sydney-siders the chance to see some of the smartest and funniest comedians, broadcasters and writers in the country, including Danielle Walker, Bob Franklin, Zoë Coombs Marr, Julian Morrow, Meshel Laurie, James Colley, Nakkiah Lui, Michael Hing and Victoria Zerbst.

Much more is still to be announced. Yack Festival 2018 will take place from 19 October – 4 November at Giant Dwarf. For bookings and more information, visit yackfestival.com.
