Yack Festival to take over Sydney’s Giant Dwarf in November
Yack is a brand new little festival for people who can’t shut up.
The inaugural festival will feature Sam Simmons’ Sydney debut of his new show A–K; Peter Helliar’s first show for families; The Chaser discussing their most audacious stunt ever; The Kates (The Katering Show, Get Krack!n) live in konversation; Zan Rowe and Myf Warhurst’s first ever live edition of Bang On; and encore performances of Damien Power and Dilruk Jayasinha’s smash-hit shows – just to name a few of the many highlights. Much, much more is still to be announced.
Yack will showcase a curated selection of the funniest, smartest and most provocative comedy, podcasts and panels. With artists that explore religion, gender, conflict, their own personal stories – as well as some stuff that is just flat-out silly – Yack is a celebration of Australia’s fine tradition of banging on.
Yack will take place from Sunday 6 – Sunday 19 November at Giant Dwarf, with more artists to be announced soon. Visit the website for more information.
